Every Day Free – But Never Cheap!
Exclusively for RapidWeaver users • only free and low-cost stuff

Another RapidWeaver blog

Yes, it's true: one more blog about our favorite web site building application for MacOS. But this one is a little different. It started back in 2011 as a blog focusing solely on free and low-cost stuff for (producing a web site with) RapidWeaver: themes, tools, tips, tricks, anything, as long as it was free – or low-cost.
Over time, the Stacks plugin became more popular, and coding yourself was no longer an option for many people, so I started to develop my own stacks in the spirit of the blog: free (well, actually pay-what-you-want) and low-cost.
This blog evolved with it, and is now primarily about those new stacks, although from time to time I will post about other free and low-cost stuff for RapidWeaver.

Do you know something free (or low-cost) & useful related to RapidWeaver not mentioned here? Have a suggestion for a subject to write about here or for a new stack?
Tips, questions and remarks are always welcomed.
Just and help expand this little blog!
no, not this way…

Color Match

One of the most difficult things in designing a good-looking web site (at least for me) is choosing the right colors. Of course, many themes have beautiful Built-in Styles, but I find it much more satisfying (and professional) to create my own unique look.

There are loads of sites to help you with that, but what if you want a lighter or darker variety of a color, or create a balanced set of colors matching that one color you want to use as a basis?

Visit Colors On The Web and you will never look at colors as you did before. Comprehensive theory on the use of colors, color combinations and much more. Sounds complicated? Well, it is — to some extend. But: the good news is they also have a Color Wizard. All you need to do is type in that one color you definitely want to use, click set and it produces six color schemes ready to use. That's not all: it also gives you lighter and darker varieties of the color you entered ideal for links (hover, active, visited). With this tool, even a color handicapped person like me can now make beautiful color combinations.
