Every Day Free – But Never Cheap!
Exclusively for RapidWeaver users • only free and low-cost stuff

Another RapidWeaver blog

Yes, it's true: one more blog about our favorite web site building application for MacOS. But this one is a little different. It started back in 2011 as a blog focusing solely on free and low-cost stuff for (producing a web site with) RapidWeaver: themes, tools, tips, tricks, anything, as long as it was free – or low-cost.
Over time, the Stacks plugin became more popular, and coding yourself was no longer an option for many people, so I started to develop my own stacks in the spirit of the blog: free (well, actually pay-what-you-want) and low-cost.
This blog evolved with it, and is now primarily about those new stacks, although from time to time I will post about other free and low-cost stuff for RapidWeaver.

Do you know something free (or low-cost) & useful related to RapidWeaver not mentioned here? Have a suggestion for a subject to write about here or for a new stack?
Tips, questions and remarks are always welcomed.
Just and help expand this little blog!
no, not this way…

New #35: Free CapsLockDay Stack

On October 22 and June 28, it is International Caps Lock Day. From now on, you can celebrate this occasion on your sites made with RapidWeaver with my new CapsLockDay Stack! With this stack, you can show your whole site in UPPERCASE – but only on Caps Lock Day.

A little background: on International Caps Lock Day: this day was initiated back in 2000 by Derek Arnold, who came up with the idea that on October 22, everyone should type using the Caps Lock key.

This is how he motivated it:
International Caps Lock Day is in fact a testament to the small mindedness of certain Western individuals: the majority of the world’s population writes in scripts which have no concept of letter casing. Therefore it is advised to laugh at anyone who invokes this day as an excuse to dismiss local typographical conventions: they are simply making an ass out of themselves.

The CapsLockDay Stack has lots of options, including a dialog to ask or tell your visitor what’s going on, and even the possibility to show some content on Caps Lock Day only. For more information and examples of the CapsLockDay Stack, please visit the product page. To see this stack in action with different options, please start with the first demo page.

This stack is a present for the RapidWeaver community on the occasion of International Caps Lock Day 2014. Have fun!

Update: this stack is discontinued.
